Disabling Your Profile Picture
This guide explains how to disable (or re-enable) your profile picture in EMS.
Required role: Teacher (or any employee with an EMS user account)

What this does
From your profile you can turn Disable profile picture on or off:
- Off (the default) — your photo can be uploaded/changed as usual, from your
profile or by someone with permission to edit your employee record. Your employee
record and your user account always show the exact same photo.
- On — your photo is immediately replaced everywhere with a generic placeholder
showing your initial, and it is locked: nobody, including an administrator, can
upload a new photo for you while this is on.
How to change it
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of EMS and choose My Profile.
- Under Photo, toggle Disable profile picture.
- Close the window — the change is saved automatically.
Note: while disabled, no photo can be uploaded for you from anywhere — not your
profile, not your employee record — until you turn the switch back off.
Re-enabling
Turning Disable profile picture back off does not bring back your previous
photo — it stays as the initials placeholder until you (or someone with permission)
upload a new one.
